Children of the Republic of Texas

Clear Fork of the Brazos Chapter

The Picketville Chapter sponsors the Clear Fork of the Brazos Chapter of the Children of the Republic of Texas.

This is for children from birth up to age 21 who are descended from a Republic of Texas Ancestor. We also have associate membership for those who have not yet found their Republic of Texas Ancestor.

We meet four times a year between the months of September to April.

Our goal for our CRT members is for them to learn as much as possible about their ancestors and Texas History.

More information about CRT can be found here.

The Clear Fork of the Brazos CRT Chapter which is sponsored by the Picketville Daughters of the Republic of Texas met December 10th at Fort Davis. Children read from the diary of Samuel Newcomb written in the l860’s at Fort Davis.  Children received replica wooden Christmas toys from that era.
